Getting started for Route Service Providers
Start digitizing your work today! In a few short steps, your company's Route account will be up and running. This guide contains will explain the initial setup for your company's Route account. Don't miss our What is Route guide if you would like a refresher before you get started.
OK, let's go!
Step 1: Register your company
So, you've decided to create a Route account to help your business grow and digitize your sales and operations. You've come to the right place!
First, visit app.getroute.com/register to create a new Route company account. All you need is an email address. There are 3 different ways to register your Route account:
- Email and Password
- Google Authentication
- Facebook Login
Select the best option for you and your company. If you select the "Start with Google" or "Start with Facebook" options then you will be guided to log in with those account types. Otherwise, enter your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and set a Password. Then click the Register button.
For the next step, enter your company's name and address. Then click Next.
Next, select your plan. Route offers two tiers and either a monthly or annual subscription. Every plan includes a risk-free 14 day trial. If you decide to pay for an annual subscription you will receive two months free. Use the toggle at the bottom of the screen to switch from monthly to annually. Click Select on the plan you would like to choose.
After selecting your plan, you will be prompted to enter a credit card to begin your trial. You will not be charged until 14 days has passed. If you wish to cancel your trial at any point, please reach out to Support@GetRoute.com
Click Pay to advance to the last step!
Last step! Almost there! Invite your team members by entering their email addresses separated by a comma. You can always do this later, so don't worry if you forget anybody. Invited team members will receive email invitations to set up their employee profiles.
Click Complete and in those three easy steps your company's Route account is up and running!
Woo-hoo! 👏 You are now the Owner of your company's Route account. In the following steps we'll go over your account settings and administration basics.
Step 2: Manage company-wide settings
Before you invite more team members we recommend you review your workspace settings. Let's add your company's logo and list of services.
Click Settings on the left side of your screen. Only the Owner of the account can edit these settings. You will then be taken to your company's profile screen. You can see your company's name, address, timezone, logo, and Custom Info labels. You can read more about Custom Info labels here.
Let's add your company logo. Click Edit Company in the top right corner.
Here you can re-name your Company Name, updated your Address, adjust your Timezone, and add your company Logo. Click on the Logo box or drag and drop an image of your company's logo to add it to your company's profile. Your company logo will now appear on all applicable documents in the letterhead automatically. Click Update Profile to confirm your changes.
Next, let's add the Services your company provides into Route. Services are used for tagging Walkthroughs, Jobs, and Inspections so you can track which Services your company is providing at all times. The Services you add to your workspace are also skill tags that you can use to tag your employees with.
Click Services located under Settings. When your Route accounts is first created there are only two listed: Janitorial Cleaning and Carpet Cleaning. In the top right, click Add Service Type to add a new Service to the list. A text pop up will appear, enter the Service Type name and click Done.
Your company's settings are now all set! For the last step of this guide we will go over how to personalize your employee profile.
Step 3: Personalize your employee profile
Let's wrap up by editing your personal employee profile 🎬
In the top right corner of your screen click on your name then click Profile & Settings from the drop down. Your Employee Profile will appear on the screen. You will be able to view your avatar, steps and calorie count, any skill tags that you have added, and your schedule. If you click on the Info tab next to the Schedule tab you can view your personal information in a table view.
Next, let's update your profile by verifying your work info and adding your avatar. Click Update Profile and verify that your Email Address, Phone number, and Timezone are correct. Then click on the white square under Avatar to add your photo or drag and drop a photo onto the space. Crop it, then click Done.
That's it! You've taken your first big step by setting up your Route workspace!
